Common questions

Is Portal a trading app?

No. Portal is read-only. It shows public Hyperliquid market, wallet, position, and leaderboard data and lets you set alerts, widgets, and Live Activities. It cannot place trades, move funds, or access your private keys.

Do I need to sign in?

No. All core tracking features work without an account. Wallet sign-in (via Dynamic.xyz) is optional and only adds personalization like synced watchlists and alerts.

My notifications / alerts aren't arriving.

  • Make sure notifications are enabled for Portal in iOS Settings → Notifications.
  • Re-open the app once after enabling so it can register with our servers.
  • Alerts are event-driven and best-effort; iOS controls final delivery timing.

My Live Activity or Dynamic Island isn't updating.

  • Ensure Live Activities are enabled in iOS Settings → Face ID & Passcode / Portal.
  • Live Activity updates are delivered on meaningful changes and are subject to iOS's background limits — they are near-instant on events, not a fixed timer.

My widget shows old data.

Widgets refresh when you open the app and periodically in the background. iOS limits how often background refreshes can run, so the most current data is always in the app itself.

How do I add a wallet, asset, or alert?

Open the asset or wallet, then use the watchlist/alert controls. Added wallets and alerts can be removed the same way.

How do I delete my data or account/session?

  • Remove tracked wallets, watchlists, and alerts in the app to delete them from our servers.
  • Sign out (if signed in) to end your session.
  • For full deletion of any data tied to your device or wallet, email ops@gizmolab.io and we'll remove your device tokens, saved wallets, watchlists, alert rules, and notification mappings.
